An argument against continual self-improvement


Must we constantly improve?

Is improving the same as growing?

Can anything continue to grow without rest or dormancy?

Surely our striving, grasping, imperfect selves can embrace moments to accept and be satisfied, no, content, with what is.

To exhale, we must inhale. It’s the only way to breathe.
