Affiliate Link Policy

Affiliate links are specially-coded referral links to merchants. When you make a purchase via one of my affiliate links, I earn a small commission from the merchant at no cost to you.

Affiliate commissions go toward paying the costs of maintaining this whole operation: monthly hosting charges, software licenses, paid subscriptions, etc.

I disclose the presence of affiliate links in posts that contain them. (My monthly letter does not and never will contain affiliate links. It’s correspondence, not a method for selling you something.)

I keep things simple on the back end by working with a small number of affiliate programs, mainly Amazon.com and Bookshop.org. If you’re a regular patron of these merchants, great — you can help support my work by starting your shopping through one of my affiliate links.

But I respect if you prefer to shop elsewhere. You’re welcome to use my links as research for purchasing from your own favorite shops (ideally local ones).

If you have any questions about my approach to affiliate links, feel free to reach out using the contact form.
